Barbara Stanwyck does time for her involvement with gangsters. This film is based on the experiences of actress Dorothy Mackaye who was ent to prison after her husband was killed in a fight with actor Paul Kelley. Mackaye went on to adapt the incident into a play called Women In Prison.
