Synopsis

Amy Artzi the producer of Silent Night, Bloody Night directs this tale of two peace corp workers fleeing a coup de tat in some fictional African country. When they pick up a hitchhiker on the way to the airport they get nailed for heroin. What we end up with is ex Charlie's Angel Tanya Roberts being whored out by the Warden while everyone else is trying to free the young lass on the legal end. Sounds OK, right? Nope. This is the in between Tanya Roberts stage. Way to early in her career to see much nudity, and way before That 70's Show to get good acting from her. I can forgive the acting, but the nudity is a calculated tease! A calculated ass shot at the 30 minute mark, and a side breast view at the 60 minute mark. That's it. Come on! The story is tired and nowhere near plausible. Show me the goods! This isn't a triumph of the human spirit story l, or a call for global human rights story. It's a damn El cheapo T & A flick.

I guess I'm bitter because the brief nudity you get of Roberts is damn good, but I wanted more. I'm not even a Roberts fan, but I needed more. You just don't get a whole lot of nudity in this one. OK enough of my bitching. The highlights of this film are when the mother bites the bullet in an ultra lame auto effects sequence, and the bust out which includes plenty of squibs and some good explosions. Overall routine fair that just doesn't realize the sleaze potential of the genre.
