This is a sleazy straight-to-cable Women In Prison movie, starring the alluring Catherine Oxenberg, with a rather preposterous and melodramatic scenario. Ms. Oxenberg's son from a previous marriage is being abused by her new husband, and when she tries to intervene, he starts beating on her and the kid takes him out. Instead of doing the obvious thing and blaming the kid (how much time could he serve, really?) she decides to confess to the crime herself, and (no thanks to her incompetent court-appointed lawyer) she is convicted and sent upstate.
